I appreciate what you wrote in response and this perspective. As you point out, men behind the wheel most often is not so black-and-white. While women tend to be in the passenger seat when driving with a man, the woman’s role isn’t necessarily passive and she can be steering things in a different way. Questions like, “Why does the man usually drive?” occur to me because I really am trying to figure out why some things seem to be just the way it’s done. But as you point out, things are always what they seem (or what I think they seem) and there are so many reasons for why individuals choose to do what they do. Best, Leslie
