Hi Jason, thank you for what you wrote. I think I’ve done the same: Chose to do something and either without saying it or coming out and saying it said my husband “made” me. So yes, I think that plays out in the women-men dynamic in the misogyny/patriarchy soup. It’s a pity that we can’t just assert what we want and like, without getting caught up in this kind of blaming. For me, I would often be passive about want I wanted because I’m so ashamed to assert my desire (to drive, to whatever) and so act like I wasn’t allowed to, since I told myself I was supposed to take a back seat, so to speak, in terms of wants and needs. Very confusing! Thank you again for your thoughts.
